A subsidiary of SCG PAPER - the paper and packaging arm of SCG in the Philippines, United Pulp and Paper Co., Inc. (UPPC), is the leading manufacturer of high-quality and cost-efficient industrial-grade paper in the country.
UPPC is the country’s dominant producer of Linerboard and Corrugating Medium. Annually, the company’s Paper Machine Number 1 produces 60,000 metric tons of Corrugating Medium (CM) and the Paper Machine number 2 produces 160,000 metric tons of Test Liner board (KR) and Corrugating Medium (CM). These kinds of paper are used in carton packaging products.
UPPC has one of the most environmentally-sound paper manufacturing operations in the Philippines. It uses 100% RECYCLED paper and its Effluent Treatment Plant is among the most advanced in the Philippines.
The UPPC manufacturing complex is powered by its own 24-megawatt cogeneration facility and 130 tons/hr state-of-the-art Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) Boiler utilizing coal, paper rejects, waste paper sludge, and biomass as fuel. UPPC continues to significantly contribute to national development through its reliable supply of quality packaging materials and energy-efficient and environment-friendly operations.
